Difference in weight between barbell and kettlebell squats

I've been doing kettlebell squats instead of front barbell squats in 5x5 programme as I can't load back to do back squats, and barbell hurt wrists. Got up to 20kg and have had to 'harden up'. Did 3x5 at 25 kg using front squat and found it lighter than the 20 kg kettlebell. Anyone else found this and is it because the weight distributed different? Also, because I'm 5'10 I don't seem to be able to squat as low as others, is that normal?

If you mean kettlebell front squats (goblet squats), yes, those are harder, because the weight is farther from your center of gravity.
To get lower, try pulling your knees out as you descend. Also don't have your feet too close to each other.0 -
Great I'll give that a try.
