i don't know if I should leave the fitness pal settings at default or what I should change them to.
Is counting your macros like.. Counting your calories? New to it but want to start because I hear about it all time

Macros are things like carbs, fat and protein. MFP is notorious for having protein set really low. A lot of folks go to a more balanced ratio like 40% carbs, 30% fat and 30% protein. Protein and good fats help to keep you satisfied with the food you eat so you don't get as hungry.0
