The last 100-200 calories

There have been some days that I have 100-200 calories left in the day. I am content at that for the day but I never want to waste a calorie so I forge for the remaining amount only to find my hunger is jump started! Its probably because the food I go for is usually a dessert/treat and then I crave sugars. Anyone else share this dilemma? Its like trying to putt the ball into the hole only to overshoot out of the green.

I just save the calories for the next day if there's nothing really appealing to me. Eating a few 100 less on one day usually results in being a little hungrier the next day anyway.

I always leave a buffer of those extra calories. Logging/data errors and little things like a shake of pepper or cinnamon that I didn't log get eaten up that way.
It's worked out so far.0 -
Pint of Guinness, tastey and filling at the same time .0

Those extra 100-200 calories definitely play a mental game with me. Logically I know it's best to walk away and leave them. But I can oh-so-easily use them as an excuse to keep eating. I'm successful in walking away from them about 50% of the time.0

I run a weekly total and just let the extra calories accumulate until the weekend when I am more likely to want to go out or have something such as pizza or a burger. I don't however carry them over until the next week.0

No, but I will gladly accept your extra calories. Canada is a good place to raise calories.

If I'm hungry, I eat. If I'm not, I don't. Another day, I'll be extra hungry and go 200 over. Works for me.

I've gotten better at leaving them behind, only because I know something will pop up at least twice a week, where I can't log accurately, or have an unplanned meal out.
Also, I have the problem where I eat until my calories are gone, and still have 6 hours until even an early bedtime.0 -
Depends. If I'm hormonal and have 200 calories left (ok that never happens) and I'm not hungry, I leave them, because I know that if I start having sweets I'm never going to stop. Otherwise, I have no problem having some ice cream.0

I keep a panda licquorice bar nearby for just such emergencies!0

I always eat them.0

Since u know dessert is a trigger, go for protein--/nuts, cheese, etc0

Yes, I have had this happen. I do eat them because I have found when I don't I get really hungry at bedtime/falling asleep (I am also on 1400/day, so 200 less is 1200, which is not enough for me). If I do opt for a sweet, I drink decaf black tea with it, which helps me not crave anymore.0

I should say I always eat them, but my weekly goal is on the low end to accommodate my weekend dinner/drinks. I've already shaved off 100 calories to work with my weekly deficit so I wouldn't want to dip any lower on a daily basis.0

Maybe this would still trigger you, but its my favorite healthy dessert: Frozen banana + food processor (or strong blender) = banana"ice cream" its cold, and smooth, and tastes so creamy and good. A banana is around a 100 calories, so one banana plus a few dark chocolate chips, or some nuts mixed in.....so good0
