quietly losing sucks!

I've only told my husband, my sister, and my mom that I'm losing weight. I know they are getting tired of my updates but I'm so proud of myself. I've hit my first milestone in that I'm down to the weight I was before baby number two came along. Why is that huge for me? Because I was still wearing and fitting into pants that I wore while nine months pregnant with baby number three! I'm only two months into mfp but I've lost 14 pounds and I feel like shouting from the rooftops. Only I don't want to draw attention to the fact that the fat girl is losing weight for fear of failing. Sometimes I feel so alone in this but I realize I have my virtual support system to always cheer me on. Thanks guys!

Congratulations on hitting your first milestone! After many attempts to lose the weight I have gained since marriage and two kids, I am finally finding success and am NOT telling anyone this time, particularly my husband. He is very competitive with me and will start trying to out-do me (which he always manages to do), his bragging demoralizes me, and I start backsliding. I have a couple of friends that do this, too. I agree that the virtual support group is the way to go.0

I love sharing with people, but I do try to keep their tolerance in mind. I am lucky to have some good friends.0

My diabetic educator is my biggest supporter and I see her once a month and I weigh in then. I'm almost to a 75 pound loss and she gets so excited! She says that when she sees me on her calendar to come in she gets excited to see me. She even told me she uses me as an example for other patients. That makes me motivated even more! My family don't even get that excited.0

I definitely understand the 'shouting from the rooftops' feeling! I tend to enthuse about my achievements quite a lot and I can see in my boyfriends eyes that he's tiring of the subject but I'm just so proud of myself! Unless people have been in that situation, I don't think they can fully appreciate how good it feels and just how exciting it can be. If your family and friends don't want to hear it, feel free to shout it from the rooftops via MFP forum! I love a good success story0

I tell my husband about every ounce lost and he gets extremely excited and happy for me about every single one, I love that wonderful supportive man with my family I usually just mention it when I'm on the phone with them every couple weeks if they don't ask first, they are supportive too and always gush about me doing a good job, I really love my life and family I can't imagine doing this alone, I hope everyone has success regardless of their support system0
