Muscles will hold onto water for repairs after starting a new workout routine or increasing intensity.

Are you taking any rest days? If not you might want to add one or two into your week. They don't have to be complete rest, but instead do something that is low intensity (Walking, yoga, etc).

If your muscles are sore to the point that you are taking Motrin to get through a workout, then it sounds like your body probably needs a recovery day.

Sounds like you're retaining water and have some DOMs, this is an easy explanation: http://www.livestrong.com/article/351391-water-retention-in-muscles-after-exercise/ Keep hydrated, keep moving (do some light cardio) and it'll fix itself.

I have DOMs and water retention most of the time. I see a drop on the scale after my rest day/s because of the water I retain. I foam roller and stretch every day to help with soreness.

That's true...After working out today, I got on the scale at WW although I am not WW but I have to weigh in once a month. My weight read more, when I weigh myself at home I was 3lbs less.

My nutrition recommend me to try MFP instead WW she put at low carb plan

Make sure you're cooling down properly. I recommend a foam roller and lots of stretching. Works wonders!
