Hi all, Pete from Staffordshire, England. I've been on here for some time although I had a break, during that time I let myself go! 6 weeks ago after a routine blood test I was told I have type 2 diebeties. This may sound strange, but since that diagnosis I have completely changed my lifestyle and it may have been one of the best and most important news I've received. Now, I am significantly fitter and been eating some wonderful healthy low fat, no sugar meals (including home made cakes!), mentally and physically I feel a new man at 56. This morning I swam 20 lengths front crawl and to many this may not sound a lot, but 3 weeks ago half a length would have killed me. And thanks to this App I am controlling my calories and nutrition, resulting in a loss of 10kg in 6 weeks, and will continue to do so. Would love to hear from others and hear about some success stories with diebeties. X

Thanks for you kind words guys, many say that eating is boring without kebabs, doughnuts and cream cakes, my wife and I have made some fantastic meals and cakes from diebetic and low fat cook books and got us back into the joys of cooking, so much so we are in the process of building a second larger kitchen in the annex to our home...that's commitment0
