Calling all Fitness Friends!! I get exercise ADD bad. I Love running but need different things to have fun with. I am looking ahead at the winter with my 10 year old and he likes to play Xbox Kinect games. We have wood floors and i need to know do you just wear socks? How do you roll? We are going to be doing Zumba and Just Dance as well as others.

Leslie Sansone walk at home vids, elliptical, resist bands & dim bells, Jo rope or ropeless jump rope depending on space.

    Snuggle my Jon Snow.

    Oh wait.

The gym is usually nicely tempered. Indoor pool swimming or fitness classes. Otherwise, it's at home workouts and/or Youtube Zumba.

I live in the south-west UK so our winters are normally mild enough that I can keep running outside, unless there's deep snow or ice.

I love my gym though, and a swim if I can brave the idea of putting on a swimsuit in January (even if it's indoor and heated!).

I live in SW Louisiana and its been so ridiculously hot here that all exercise has been indoors all summer except for early evening walks. So winter is probably when I'll be able to move it outdoors! I'll probably just keep going to the gym and our trips to the park and walks outside will be able to be done at different times of day besides just right before dark. Yay!

I do workout dvds (The Firm has some good ones), Youtube (beFit channel is helpful), run or walk on the treadmill. I have hand weights/adjustable dumbells to use with videos and also a chair gym for extra strength training. It is hot here in TX, so I'm actually able to get out and run more in the fall/winter/spring than in the summer.

I've just started C25K and I should be good doing that outdoors until I join my new gym in December. (That's when my contract with my current trainer expires).

At that point, I'll have access to an indoor track where I'll continue running and an indoor deep-water pool where I'll do water jogging. I've been doing that all summer at our swim club. I'll also keep up with weight training there.

I live on the Left Coast - 11.25 months of outdoor activities! :drinker: A touch more swimming, a touch less running/cycling, maybe.

I have finally reached 10,000 steps a day, by topping up my steps by marching in place while watching TV. I have bad knees, so I cannot run or jog. In the winter, I do not go out much if it is raining. I go to the gym, I go to hot yoga and I march indoors.

Leslie Sansone DVDs ....or Wii Walk it Out would be very similar to marching in place (but a little more interesting)....both are low impact.

I like rebounding (mini-trampoline) for higher intensity workouts. Step aerobics on Wii is fun too.

I keep running all winter, but our winters are mostly just very wet, not frozen. Mostly.
