How many calories should I be burning?

Is it true that in order to lose weight I have to burn more calories than I'm consuming? Thanks!

Yes, but you burn a lot of calories just by being alive. You don't have to burn them all in the gym.0

You also burn plenty of calories going about your day. Exercise, if you choose to do it, is only a fraction of that. The goal MFP gives you is already at a deficit.0

Yes but you burn calories just from existing. If you want to burn more by exercising that's fine but not necessary for weight loss.0
