It's amazing. Currently on average, I may purchase (1) 2lbs bag of sugar within a twelve month period for my household. Since partaking in the My fitness pal program just on Friday, I have gotten pop up messages warning me about my sugar intake. It's in EVERYTHING!!! Awareness is definitely key!!!

It's really not in everything, and a lot of what it's in -- dairy, fruit, vegetables -- is inherent and just part of understanding what makes up our foods. I guess I've never purchased lots of packaged things containing sugar, and have always been a label-reader for what I do purchase, so have not been surprised by anything yet.

I would caution you about the pop-up messages, though -- sometimes they are just wacky and not what I'd trust for advice on nutrition. (For example, if I log my omelet breakfast, I may get a comment about cholesterol, or like this morning it may tell me eggs are high in protein -- which they aren't, especially, compared to many other protein sources. And also it just seems weird since I can SEE how much protein they have in the log.)
