Hi, I am posting regarding my hubby who has joined MFP....YAY!! anyways, I don't understand the settings on his profile and it seems wrong??
He is male, 5ft 7in currently weighs 12st 7lbs and is an active person. He chose his settings to lose only 0.7lbs a week and he is only allowed 1200 cals a day???
Surely for a working active man 1200 cals is a very small amount to live on per day?
Advice please :flowerforyou:

That oes sound way too low for a male....0

that sounds super low, I would say ignore MFP and just straight to www.iifym.com to calculate it all. This gives you a daily intake which takes into account exercise, so you don't 'eat back' by exercising exercise calories as such - it evens it out over the week.0

he probably chose sedentary instead of active for his activity level which is meant for someone in a coma0
