JAWBONE UP 24 AND ACTIVITY

i have my activity level set to 10,000 steps. I normally hit it. This includes my workouts. IS this a good amount or should I be setting it higher?

I had an UP24 which broke, so they sent me an UP2. I had mine set to 10,000 but only hit 10K on a day that I ran 4 miles due to a desk job.
I no longer care for having a step goal. I focus on calories/macros. One thing I noticed bn UP24 and UP2 is that they calculate active calories differently. If I don't lift or run and log it, my active calories remain below 50 for the day on the UP2. Even if I have 3,000-5,000 steps on a rest day. With the UP24, it would be something like 100-125. I've had days where it says I burned 11 calories lol. So my BMR + 11. Doesn't leave me much room at my height and weight.

Choosing a step goal is entirely a matter of personal preference. I started with a number I could reach 3x per week, then increased it every time I hit goal 5x per week. (10,000 steps is one-size-fits-all, like 8 glasses of water.)

Your UP total burn is TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). When you connect your accounts & enable negative calorie adjustments, MFP adjusts your daily calorie goal to TDEE minus deficit.

    Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps/show/97

    Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

In the MFP app, go to More > Steps and choose Jawbone.
