I don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes!
I, a college student that lives with the parents and work occasionally, would love some tips on previous logging my food. I had a great streak on MFP before but lost it soon after.
I want to try pretty logging to see if it fits my lifestyle.

Once you have a decent amount of ingredients in your "recent foods" file it's pretty easy. For example, in my Dinner I have logged almost every vegetable I would want to eat recently so I just go in and start adding how many grams I want. I've been weighing food for a while so I have a good idea. Pretty soon I'll have a meal together. Then I'll do the same for dessert, lunch, etc.0

All that's involved in pre-logging is knowing what you're going to eat and entering it into MFP as soon as you know you're planning to eat it later. For example, I will often log the items I'm packing in my lunches when I make them in the morning and also dinner, if I know in advance what I am making. It lets me stay within my goal more easily since I know if I do, or don't, have room for anything extra I might want during the day. Since your parents may dictate at least some of your meals it may be a little more difficult for you to do this all of the time but as much as you have under your control, I'd suggest it.0

You don't have to do anything as MFP lets anyone send you a friend request. You will have a notification when you receive one.
OP, do your parents cook the meals? Would they allow you to cook more, or would they write down what goes into dinner so you can use the recipe builder for a rough estimate?0 -
I'm also a college students (who lives with her parents). Typically, I'm the one helping my mother with meal planning and grocery shopping, so I tend to do a very rough log of what the next few dinners will be as soon as we're done grocery shopping. Once I log that, I then log in any anticipated meals and snacks (such as if I know there's a meeting for one of my clubs one afternoon, and there will be free pizza that I'm not going to say no to). After that, I adjust what I am making for the rest of my meals and snacks so that I meet my calorie and macronutrient goals. Once that meal comes, all I need to do is weigh it (if possible) and readjust my portion size into MFP.0

Sit down each morning and log what you're going to eat that day. It's that simple.0

Plan what you are going to eat in advance as much as you can.
I log my food for the whole day the night before or in the morning. I usually enter dinner first, then lunch, breakfast and snacks last.0
