Sorry for another Fitbit question but why does it say on mfp that I have not burnt as much calories as my fit bit tells me? I'm confused

    Adjustments are the difference between your Fitbit burn (which is TDEE) and your MFP activity level.

    Fitbit sends over it's calorie burn each time you sync. MFP uses the calorie burn from your Fitbit + MFP's activity level based calorie burn for the remaining hours in the day to come up with a projected full day calorie burn that your Fitbit will send over. Then MFP takes the Full Day Fitbit projection and subtracts what MFP thought you would burn from that number. This prevents any double counting of calories burned.

    Here's an example for you:
    1510 calories burned from Fitbit as of 2:45 pm

    MFP expects that I burn 1669 calories per day based on my activity level setting. That breaks down to 69.541xx per hour and 1.159 per minute.

    As of 2:45 pm, there is 9 hrs 15 mins left in my day. So, MFP does this:
    9 hrs * 69.541 = 625.869
    15 mins * 1.59 = 17.385
    1510 from Fitbit + 625.869 (9 hrs remaining) + 17.385 (15 mins remaining) = 2153.254
    MFP estimates that by 11:59 pm I will have burned 2153 calories (based on my 1510 calorie burn as of 2:45 pm and my activity level setting on MFP)
    2153 - 1669 = 484 calorie adjustment
    Based on that math, MFP believes that I have burned an extra 484 calories.

    Now, to further break it down...

    I have MFP set to sedentary.
    MFP thinks my BMR is approx 1336 calories per day. It gives me 333 calories for daily activity.
    1336 + 333 = 1669 for the full day.
    ~~~~
    Fitbit thinks my BMR is approx 1344 calories per day. It adds 14 calories every 15 mins without activity to my calorie burn to account for my BMR. As it tracks activity it will add extra calories on top of that.
    If MFP gave me my full Fitbit calorie burn in the exercise section, I would be double counting a large portion of my calorie burn. For this reason, I don't get extra calories until my projected calorie burn (based on my last Fitbit sync) exceeds 1669. If it's under 1669, I lose calories since I have negative adjustments turned on.
    Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/fitbit
    Set your goal to .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided
    Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
    In the MFP app, go to More > Steps and choose Fitbit.
    @aniqa109
    I'm looking at your diary and I see:
    421 exercise calories (113 which are from your Fitbit adjustment)
    1621 total calorie goal (1200 NET)
    You currently have 761 remaining calories for today.
