Growing butt/wanting abs

So correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I have come up with:

If I want to see my abs, I need to eat at a deficit.
If I want to gain a butt, I need to eat at a surplus.

However, If I eat at a deficit I won't be able to lift as heavy as usual due to lack of energy.
If I want to lift heavier and heavier every day, I will need to eat eat eat.

Is there a way to have it all? Lift heavy, have abs, have a butt?

In case it's needed:
131 lbs
5ft 7in
Diet: Flexible dieting/recomp

Recomp but plan on at least a year or more
Cut until you see abs, then slow bulk
Bulk until your happy with butt, the cut until abs are visible

All while lifting as heavy as possible.

Won't I lose the butt I gained in the second cut though?

Adding mass is difficult. I don't think you can simply bulk until you like your butt, and then cut.

I would continue the recomp for now and see how you look in maybe 6 months or so. Then reevaluate. In the meantime make sure the program you are running is properly working the glutes. The major lifts are important-but how is your accessory work? There is a lot to be said for volume when it comes to glutes.

Also remember that we are stuck (somewhat) with out genetics. I have slim hips and a small butt, but thick thighs. I am forever building a booty. Strive to improve-but be aware of what's realistic :-)

Not if you continue to lift heavy. You may lose a slight bit of lean muscle mass but not much. That is inevitable but losing LBM is greatly reduced when you keep the loads high on lifting.
You would keep protein fairly high and hit the weights as hard as possible while on a small calorie deficit.

Oh, we can choose where weight comes off now (abs vs. buns)? Neato :|

You can have it all.. eventually...but it will take time and a lot of hard work. Like @piperdown44 said you can continue to recomp. Or you can cut, bulk then cut again (the second option is what I did to build my glutes). With the second option, I did gain fat (this is inevitable on a bulk), so I had to cut to see definition again. I ran a small deficit, continued to lift heavy and kept protein levels adequate so I did not lose my hard earned glutes. As @slaite1 said make sure your program is glute focused if that is your goal. I ran Strong Curves with great results.

Where exactly did I say that? Never implied that you loose only on the abs. I said cut until your abs are visible.
Already covered that you're going to lose a bit of LBM but you can limit the amount by lifting heavy.
