So WI today and lost 3.2lbs lost 2.8 or something similar last week. Just concerned losing to much to fast. 15lb this first month. I do have a large amount to lose and I know it will slow down but concerned losing a lot of muscle mass. I don't want to lose any more muscle than I have to due to I would like to be more athletic build than soft skinny. Not doing a lot of exercise due to injury. Averaging 30minutes a day walking, eating all daily calories and some exercise calories daily. Just concerned that I am losing muscle mass because I read anything over 2lbs a week is burnt muscle. TIA for advice.

Nah.
Given your high starting weight you are good. It will level off in the next few months (if it doesn't then reassess the severity of your calorie deficit.)
Keep trucking.0 -
You always tend to lose more in your first month. I lost 10lbs in the first 4 weeks. After 4 months, I am losing around 2-4lbs per month (I've upped my calories because I now have less to lose). If you're eating at a healthy deficit, your body won't lose more than it's supposed to lose.0

Thanks I have never been very muscular even when at a good weight I just didn't want to lose excess and then try to build it back at a later point. I want to conserve.0

Then incorporate some resistance training into your fat loss programme if you have not done so already.
I don't know how long you have been at your current weight but it is worth bearing in mind that having to carry that amount of excess weight on a daily basis coupled with eating at a surplus over a certain amount of time means you will have built some additional muscle already. You probably have more than you imagine and it is being covered by the layer of fat you wish to reduce.

Thanks for the info. I have been this weight for much longer than I care to think about. Who would of thought it could help build some muscle. Lol.0
