i always struggle in searching and inputting calories of foods in restaurants. It's always difficult for me, especially as a Malaysian, most of the foods are not in the database... This always makes me wasting hours to find the recipes of that food to calculate the calories here.. Need help!!

You just have to guesstimate.0

I have the same problem as very few restaurants in my country advertise their calories on their websites, which seems to be a common thing in the states. How I approach it is by eating a smaller than usual breakfast and lunch on the day I am going out for dinner (or whichever meal it is), leaving two thirds of my calories for dinner.
Sometimes I skip lunch all together.
I then go to the restaurant, order what I like - a delicious full portion main meal of my choice - and log it by guessing as best I can comparing it to other things on the data base. I will normally just use quick calories to enter the amount once I know a ballpark. I know I am guessing and I feel comfortable knowing I did my best to manage the situation.
If you do that, most restaurant meals are in range and I eat at 1200. I find that I still don't have space for extras like starters, desserts or alcohol. If I had those things at the restaurant in addition to my meal of choice, I would be over, although you might choose to do that sometimes.0 -
