I'm 46 yrs old, female, 5'3", 235 lbs, in western Canada.

This will be my 2nd time to lose weight. I lost 96 lbs about 6 years ago through eating well and weight training, but gained it all back after some medical and personal issues, work and school schedules. I'm not a fad dieter. I know that weight loss takes work, planning, dedication, and motivation.

My motivation now is that at only 46 I'm in pain most days. Back pain, hip pain. Everything is uncomfortable. I don't want to spend the rest of my life like this. I want to enjoy my days and have the energy to do fun things (like play tennis! I miss it so much!!!).

I really think this site is what I need. I'm finding many inspirations in others' posts. I need to log my food, and this site has the best database I've seen. So, thanks for reading and feel free to add me if you want to share inspiration and encouragement.

    Congratulations on re-starting your healthy life :)

    You have done this before successfully (and 96lbs is such an incredible achievement!) so you can certainly do this again. 2nd time lucky - you'll see it through this time. Keep telling yourself that.
