Veggie Burgers need help!

I love the veggie burgers at White Castle and especially at Houlihan's but everytime I want one, I don't want to have to go to these places. What I like is that they are moist, not slimy and the flavor profile is very good.

Was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of who makes the best veggie burgers.

Make some at home and freeze them for days you want to eat them or buy some commercially made. Or you can always ask the locals - there is a spot near me that is rated as the top veggie burger in the area. I came home and replicated the recipe probably 6 years ago and I thought mine were better!

Not really a veggie patty, but I have been making these falafel balls for my sandwiches. It's from a mix, and they're pretty good, but really high in calories 2 balls=300 calories. I cry forever tears

Morningstar Farms is my favorite brand for frozen veggie burgers. The spicy black bean one being at the top of my list.

My favorite one is "Amy's Organic Sonoma Veggie Burger." I've noticed a few chain restaurants that sell a veggie burger use the "Boca" brand.

I need to unlazy and try making my own, there are so many recipes.

I second the Morningstar Farm recommendation. My favorites are the black bean chipotle as well!

If you are going to make them, I like the Tricia Yearwood recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/trisha-yearwood/sweet-pea-burgers.html. They hold up good. I get angry when I'm trying to keep the burger together and it just keeps falling apart while I'm cooking it.

I tried the bubba veggie burgers but wasn't a big fan. The taste was good but they were little and stuck to my grill even with cooking spray.

Instead of buying veggie burgers I buy Morningstar black bean burgers and they are amazing!!!

I like porto burgers over veggie burgers most of the time. I do like the Red Robin Burnin' Love burger with a veggie patty substituted.

there are some really good veggie burgers out there, I am not a huge whole foods fan its expensive, but they have these weird brands of veggie burgers that are amazing. They also started selling veggie burger mix, you just shape it and cook it yourself

Sunshine (or is it sunrise?) Makes the best veggie burgers. The texture is perfect and they come in a few different flavor. I used to keep several boxes in my freezer for burger cravings and they held up really well.

This recipe had some great reviews. I made something similar but added more spice to my personal taste. You can also mix in quinoa

Agreed - these are super yummy. I've tried several other kinds but only really like these ones.
