yes it does lol0

Sadly those mfpers who have worn hrms during sex have found very little calorie burn. But it does release endorphins which make you less stressed which makes you less likely to comfort eat....0

No. Normal activities do not count as workouts. Now, if you plan to have a 5 hour session of sex involving unusual acrobatics, that's a different story0

People ask this all the time. No, it's considered part of your normal activities. But carry on by all means!0

well of course!, silly you.0

Some days it is, but usually it is just a hellofalot of fun.

It depends whether or not you just lie on your back...0
-
It just seems weird to me to even count it.0

No
Part of normal activity0 -
I think some people reach for anything to add as a workout. I only count intentional exercise. People here log sex, pushing grocery carts, getting tattooed, and planting flowers as their workouts. Smh0

I just fixed breakfast. I am sure I burned some calories doing that.0

I think I need to log my reply to this post......
As for wearing a heart rate monitor during sex, I'm not sure I would want the added pressure.

I giggled at this comment.
My thinking was if your activity level is set to sedentary, maybe you could log something for a sessions that left you with a pounding heart rate and sweaty sheets, but for normal (what I call maintenance sex) probably not.
I don't think it's weird that people have put heart monitors on during sex, not saying I have...BUT if I did I'd guess I could burn a good 147 calories for 20 minutes ;-)0 -
Maybe if you're horribly out of shape and just getting out of bed feels like a workout, then yeah, by all means.0

Why is that sad? I wear my fitbit charge HR all of the time, except in the shower.0 -

Not sure where this info comes from but, having sex for a good 12-15min at a good rate and pace, makes me sweat like crazy... yes it burns calories!!!

Yea it burns calories but not many. Sweating does not mean a big calorie burn.0 -

Oh good. I'm glad I burn calories when I go stand outside in the summer.
ETA: It burns calories, but don't log it as a workout. If anything, just have more sex, take the bigger deficit, stick to your calorie goal, profit.0 -

I need to change my name to the typo queen. I meant sweating does NOT equal a big calorie burn.0 -
Not if your a dead fish. But if your putting in work I don't see why not.0

We've giggled about having mine on during nookie, didn't realise that having a healthy sense of fun was sad!0 -
HELL YES sex is a work out!! especially when your fat because you are moving your body vigorously in ways that are not normal. Do you get Hot and Sweaty when ur *kitten* I know I do (sometimes). However being in shape makes sex more enjoyable, more exciting, and last longer.0

Don't know how being fat = sex not being normal!0 -
Only if you do enough reps.0

Well now there is a conversation starter "How did you lose all that weight?" "I have sex a lot."0

I agree. I wear my UP2 all the time except for showering. I was one of those that logged sex but then I realized that it wasn't really truthful on my log vs. my results. I even asked my nutritionist about it. She chuckled and agreed that it's more of a normal activity; yeah heart rate and endorphins and such but your not really working out any muscle groups yknow what I mean?0
