Vegan Following Kayla's BBG

Hi,

I started Kayla Itsine's BBG this week... infact I am trying to work up the motivation to start my second workout right now... aka procrastinating on MFP

I was wandering if anyone has followed this as a vegan... her H.E.L.P guide has a few 'swaps' for vegetarians and vegans but its not great!

Is there a specific number of calories I should aim for etc? Or should I focus on carbs over protien?

    I've been vegan for nine years and I have found that most pre-set diet plans don't have great options for us. Even if there are swaps they aren't particularly tasty or they don't meet our nutritional needs. Many of the people creating these plans aren't very familiar with vegan food or nutrition, so it isn't surprising.

    Have you considered just eating at a calorie deficit? That is what will generate the weight loss anyway -- you can set your macro goals to whatever meets your needs for health, energy, and satiety without worrying about what someone else thinks you should eat. If you aren't sure what calorie goal to shoot for, MFP can help with that. Simply enter your stats and goals and it will generate a calorie goal for you.
