Is it more important to stay under calories or sugar, carbs, fat. I'm sometimes under calories but over on sugar or carbs

For me it is calories. Also, I track fiber instead of sugar. If you eat any fruit you're probably over in sugar.

I go by calories. As long as I'm not way over on any one macro I'm happy. All my macros tend to be in the 30% range and I'm still dropping pounds.

Calories. Then I worry about getting enough fiber and protein.

all macros!! don't worry about the calories, stick to your macros. It's important that you get enough protein for example even if you're hitting your cals if you're not getting enough then you could be losing muscle not fat, if you're undereating carbs then you could be losing water not fat and if you're undereating or overeating fat you're going to have hormonal issues!
