3 Weeks - Whooot!

Howdy!

Well, I've stuck with it for 3 weeks and managed to not become obsessed. This is good! I had some disordered eating patterns in college and always worry about falling back into that obsession.

I came in wanting lose about 10, and needing to lose a little more to have a normal range BMI. So far, I've lost 5 - just about on track with the 2# week loss I was aiming for. Some good days, some bad - mostly netting just about 1500 cals (and eating every single exercise calorie I earn - and drinking some too!).

Definitely loving how easy MFP is too use and realizing where I was overeating and what nutrients I needed to focus on.

Lessons learned:

- Silk vanilla almond milk is a great mid-morning pick me. Half my calcium in 8 oz!

- A lowfat breakfast kills me. 2% yogurt and some walnuts with my granola are awesome!

- I miss bread. Big, thick slices of salted focaccia. Nom.

- I don't miss drinking as much as I thought I would. It's not likely I totally stopped, but I cut back and added tea at night, and I'm just fine.

- My dog loves me for all the extra walks he's getting. And I love him for starting my days off with a wag and a smile.

Most of all, this works. There are gimmicks every where, but it's really just about what you eat and how much you move. MFP makes tracking that easy.

Keep it up y'all!
