How do I add more protein to my diet without adding carbs or sugars?

I noticed my current eating pattern is out of balance, and really low in protein. I want to lessen the amount of carbs and sugars I ingest. Any suggestions?

Hi. I recently began seeing a nutritionist and I was advised to do exactly what you are talking about.
She advised eating hemp seed hearts (they taste great - can be eaten alone, or on your salad, or in a smoothie), also brewer's (also called "nutritional") yeast - use it where you might otherwise sprinkle cheese. Google them. I'm reluctant to try new/strange things. These I really like. Both are very high in protein. Also, you might also try raw pumpkin seeds, and goji berries. I love the pumpkin seeds. The goji berries aren't Great, but they're not bad. Nutritionally they are supposed to be amazing. They're ok. For snacking I make a mix of goji berries, pumpkin seeds, and unsweetened toasted coconut flakes (Trader Joe's has them).0 -
