how many of you don't exercise I don't I have a really active job, the thought of doing more activity make's me feel ill. Just there are muscles I'll not be using but will I still loose weight if I stay within my calories.

    You lose weight by consuming less than you burn with or without exercise.

    I lost the majority of my weight with zero exercise.

    I suppose this is mostly personal opinion: Incorporating exercise into your lifestyle will increase your chances of *keeping* the weight off. You will also look better.

    Start with walking, and add more exercise as you get thinner and stronger.

    I dont think exercise uis essential for weight loss if you are eating right but I feel it helps encourage me to eat healthier and I guess wil help with that loose skin you'll get when you loose weight. I too have a fairly active job and somedays the thought of doing more exercise fills me with dread so I just dont worry about doing it on thoses days and just work harder on my days off. Basically it's not essential but can help with changing to a healthy lifestyle and weigh loss

    To lose weight, you need a calorie deficit. Exercise isn't a 'must' to lose weight. Of course, it helps - and maybe further down the line, you might choose to introduce it for health reasons. But you aren't going to fail if you don't work-out. Best of luck.

    I have a desk job, and my only exercise is walking the dog every week or so (don't worry he does get walked everyday just usually by my Mum who is at home all day) unless I'm feeling crazy and decide to go the gym, and I have gone from 142 pounds to 134 :)
  • I don't really exercise very often...I try to but I hate to but I'm still losing weight on a 1660 calorie intake. I occasionally or rarely go play basketball at the rec center by my house and once in a while if I happen to get myself to do it I will do a 3 min round of a yoga workout app on my phone so I don't think you necessarily need exercise to lose weight but I think it helps boost weightloss if you can get yourself to exercise.

    I initially started losing weight simply by counting calories and doing zero exercise. Since I've hit my goal weight, I have been staying active and yes exercising to strengthen and tone my new body shape.

    For my first 3 months, I chose to lose weight by just watching what I eat and that plan was working fine. Like the others mentioned, it's a matter of putting fewer calories into your body than it burns off.

    If you want to lose weight or not even if you lost and hit goal. If you can excersise do it, my health has improved 200% plus because of excersise. It's all up to you

    I feel so much better when I exercise regularly. Plus, I sleep better and I get more calories.

    I exercise regularly not to lose weight, but for health reasons and because mentally, I just feel better.
