Burning calories

totally new to this and recently bought a Fitbit charge hr and although I don't think it's totally accurate as it seems to be counting steps when I'm drying my hair or whatever I'm still enjoying it.
My question is roughly how many calories are people burning by setting activity to sedentary. I'm 43 4ft 11 and weigh roughly 125 1b, body fat percentage roughly 32% Want to loose about 15 1b in weight and get my body fat down to around 25 initially I work mostly night shifts and not much activity goes on apart from walking around, I generally do about 10 to 11,000 steps sometimes less though and looking at my Fitbit it says the most I've ever burned in 24 hours since I've had the band is 2100 is that rubbish ? What calories are other sedentary people burning .?

There is a Fitbit help group so you should ask there. But I do find my Fitbit very accurate. Although I am 5ft 2" /46yrs and maintaining at 133lbs it gives me an average burn of 2300. (I average 18k steps/day).
Most people find the tracker accurate but you will be able to guage that yourself over the next few weeks. If you are burning 2100 you would be eating around 1600 cals to lose 1lb a week. Try that and if you don't lose you know its over estimating your burn.
On my rest day I do 10k steps/ my burn for that day is 1700 so perhaps yours is higher than it should be....0 -
Using your statistics, the MFP BMR (basal metabolic rate) calculator estimates your BMR about 1130 Calories, so your maximum Fitbit Calories burned are about 1000 Calories above your BMR.
For comparison, my BMR is about 1530 and for my last 10,000-step day my Fitbit listed my total Calories burned about 2670 Calories, so that is about 1140 Calories above my BMR.
It seems that the amounts are similar, given that I am taller and heavier than you.
Also, if you are normally reaching 10,000 steps per day, your daily activity level is higher than sedentary.0
