I like eggs. They're a good choice during induction. Scrambled with a little hwc and lots of fresh black pepper.

    Bacon, bacon, and more bacon.

If I remember correctly, traditional Atkins induction is less than 20g of net CHO (total carbs - dietary fiber - sugar alcohols = net carbs) a day with most of the calories coming from fat and moderate levels of protein. Personally, I would make meat and cheeses a main focus of my meals (and not being afraid of cooking with oils to help meet my fat goals) with some nonstarchy vegetables (broccoli, spinach, asparagus, onions, mushrooms) as accompaniments.

Off the top of my head, here's some ideas:
    • Chicken breasts cooked in a skillet with fatty salad dressing (Caesar, ranch, french) as a marinade.
    • Pickle spears wrapped around deli ham and cream cheese
    • Cut cucumber with cheese on top
    • Scrambled eggs with wilted spinach and Parmesan cheese

Carbs are cheap and delicious and versatile. Why do you want to cut carbs?

Oh, well if you like chicken you're in luck. :) It's so versatile, there's a lot you can do with it. Off the top of my head - chicken stir fry, chicken salad (the mayo kind), chicken soup, creamy crockpot chicken and mushrooms, spicy chicken curry. I like one pot dishes. Less mess to clean up afterwards.

Oh and deviled eggs are just awesome. And you can make them like a dozen different ways to keep it fresh - all induction friendly. :)

I assume that it is a personal choice for this person.

You're right...carbs are cheap...delicious...versatile...they are also usually calorie dense.

I love pasta and potatoes...enough pasta or potatoes to fill me up doesn't always fit in my calorie goals for the day. I limit pasta or potatoes to usually just one day a week.

OP...I am not doing Atkins nor am I low carb but this is a low carb recipe that I use often (if you leave off the tortilla0. I usually substitute the fish with shredded chicken and top it off with cheese and avocado.
