Some advice about the first few weeks

I'm looking for some words of advice and encouragement from those who have succeed and are succeeding. I've done lost weight before, but gained it back after my daughter was born...plus extra due to post partum depression. Now that I'm feeling better, I've begun to tackle losing 80 pounds. I'm 2.5 weeks into it and I'm feeling very discouraged. I realize that seeing results takes time, and I've lost 5 pounds already. But when I get dressed in the morning, I look in the mirror and want my hard work to show. It's very discouraging. I'm logging all my food intake, and within my calorie and macros and exercising so logically I know change will come. I guess I'm just impatient and need some words of wisdom. Does anyone have any advice as to how you kept your motivation before the results started to show? Thanks for listening. :flowerforyou:

    Congrats on your 5lb loss!

I'm 9 months in and 76-ish lbs down. I can tell you it gets easier as time goes on as new habits are formed. I'll also say that you're in the most difficult weeks of this process because you're learning what works best for you. All I can say is keep going. The 'you' a year from now will thank the old you SO much for getting started. Just take your time with it, eat enough and celebrate each pound you lose.
