All the high B vitamin foods like spinach. It would also be good to build in slow release carbs like oats.0

Personally I've found eating a variety of foods in each meal is essential to keeping my energy up through long days and hard workouts. Protein/carbs/vegetables for every meal. Rice and beans have been an especially good staple. I get the quick energy from the carbs (usually some type of grain such as rice, bulgur, or oats), longer lasting sustanance from the protein (for me it's beans or eggs more often than meat but meat's great too) and the veggies to take up space and just generally containing lots of vitamins you need (whatever's in season). Dairy I can do with or without.
Anyway, good luck!0 -
Only thing that helps is strong coffee or green tea combined with 2 smokes before going to the gym.0

Complex carbs oats being a good example, but they wont last you 12 hours. You will need to top up. bananas are excellemt for a pre workout boost and protable as well.
Caffeine is handy to perk you up.0 -
I keep a balance of carbs, protein and fat in each meal. Coffee helps. So does proper sleep. If I get less than 7 hours I struggle.0

I get 5 to 6 hours. Really that's all there is room for. 12 hours a day plus 2.5 commute. Thanks I will try all suggestions0

Are you able to sleep on the commute?0

No I drive. Just sux. From the time I step out to work to the time I come back 15 hours pass. I'm drained by the time I'm back and I know my gym time suffers.0
