I am 5'3 141 lbs and I want to lose 1 1/2 to 2 pounds a week and exercise 4 times a week. I currently consume 1200 calories a day, but I want to go with 1000? Anyone in the same boat? Or can give advice? Also what exactly does NET calories mean, I think I have an idea but I want someone to fully explain it! Like if i burn off calories I should replace them if I'm under my limit? Thanks!

1000 cals is too low. 1200 is probably too. But if thats what you want to do, go for it. If you're going that low, I'd suggest skipping the exercise, but that's just me. Lastly, I'd make sure your goals are healthy and not based solely on the scale or being skinny or anything like that.

Net calories are calories consumed - calories burned through exercise. For example, you eat 1000 cals, you burn 400 exercising, you'd have 600 net cals for the day.
