I've been on MFP since April 3rd, when I was 210 pounds. Since then, I've dropped down to about 173, and I'm shooting for 140 pounds by April 3rd of 2016.

Is that a good goal weight?

Whoops, guess that would have been relevant.

    I'm a 5'8" male.

Depends on your bone structure and muscle mass. The highest weight for your height to be in a normal BMI is about 164, I believe. I would think 140 would be good if you were very lean and more like a runner. If you lift weights, I would aim a bit higher.

I'm 5'8 female and 135. So that might be a little light for a male depending on your body type.

To me that seems far too skinny for a male of your height

Sounds pretty scrawny for a man.

It's the absolute bottom of a healthy weight range for your height. Perhaps working on body fat% rather than aiming for as low as you can go is a better choice.

i would say work on building muscle instead of trying to drop down to 140. That is pretty small for a guy your height.
