Is this the 5:2 diet? I've started doing that today.

I do a 17/7 split each day and love it. Between the keto and the IF, I'm very rarely hungry. And when I am, I just eat a little something and it's done. No more real cravings, even my trigger foods. And it's getting easier over time.

I started about five days ago and wake up feeling much better and lighter...flatter stomach. I start eating around 11 30 am and count 8 hours exactly from that point. I make sure I eat absolutely nothing after that. So basically i eat in an 8 hour period and fast the others 16 hours. I am not hungry in the 16 hour period.

Just to add to that post...I also eat paleo foods almost 100 % of the time. I did say 'almost '.

    I IF.

I also eat a combination of paleo and non paleo foods 100% of the time, except when I'm not eating any food, which is 85% of the time, and it works 60% of the time every time.

That's cool. I eat from 3pm to 7pm. 20 hour fast. Wake up at 1pm dp my workout fasted and start my eating window. Dropping weight but getting stronger.

I've been on it 2wks and not noticing a whole lot in regards to weight loss but it helps with late night eating and cravings. I eat from 1pm to 9pm. Suprisingly not hungry during the fasting periods.

I IF 14/10 5-6 days/week. I eat from 10am-8pm. Helping immensely with an eating disorder. Binge urges are diminishing at night.

So I had no idea I was doing this - I eat between 10am and 7pm. But I'm asleep from 11pm-6:30am. So is that IF or just a normal day?

Breakfast - breaking your fast, btw (fun fact).

Sleeping still counts if you wake and wouldn't eat. Most folks eat within an hour of waking and have an evening snack before bed, So yes, you're doing IF with a 15/9 split.

I do a 17/7 split. I prefer 18/6, but hubby comes home for lunch, so lunch time isn't flexible.

Ah, ok thank you for explaining that. I suppose I may not be since I do have a single cup of coffee when I wake - I just don't eat until 10 at the earliest.

Fluids don't count, just food. I drink from wake to sleep every day. I even take my drink with me when I leave the house and into the grocery store. In my case, docs say keep the fluids going, I keep the fluids going!

Now that, I do - my water bottle has become my centerpiece accessory. I should look into fancier ones :)

I break my fast each day at 5pm. I don't eat Breakfast or lunch and lift heavy for an hour or so during this time. I only consume water (lots of it) and maybe one black coffee. I then consume roughly 3000 cals of an evening with my family. I'm never hungry in the day and feel strong and energised as opposed to sleppy and bloated. My evening meals are very satisfying and carry me through the next day easily. Eating a lot of an evening also makes me really look forward to my food, keeps me disciplined and helps with sleep.
