im about ready to throw in the towel and go back to weight watchers ...

I changed my eating habits on June 29th and lost ten pounds between then and July 26th. Healthy eating. Lots of salads. No wheat. On July 27th I began the Ketogenic Diet. In the first four days I lost 7.5lbs. Understanding that this was all water weight (I have 120ish to lose) I was still thrilled and, while I am a very realistic person, I expected more loss 6 weeks into it. As of today I'm down a total of 2.5 additional pounds - that's an average of .5/week since the 4th day. Well I had hoped to be one of those people who could scream from the mountain tops "I lost 75 pounds in six months" I'm realistic enough to know that I am not the average person however this is just frustrating. At this rate it's going to take me a year to lose another 25 pounds. I'm not expecting miracles but want to pounds a week would be great. Not lose 2 1/2 pounds then stay the same for a few weeks. Lose another pound and stay there for a of weeks. My goal is set for 1700 cal a day and I've only gone past that a couple of times. I never rely on my exercise calories to eat more. My carbs are always under 20 g with the exception of yesterday.

Am I doing something wrong? Does this diet start off really slow and then pick up? Is my body in shock with the changes I've made? Or maybe keto just is not for me! I really think I'm giving it another week before trying weight watchers. Although I can't deny that I have enjoyed Keto it really is a lot of work. It's an effort that I am happy to do barring results and I just don't feel like I'm getting results.

Thank you in advance for helping me to understand what I may be doing wrong. Your comments are really appreciated
