hi my name is chelsey and I have been doing my fitness pal for quite a while . So far I have lost 29 pounds and want to continue so today I added in my new weight (139.6) and my calorie intake on my fitness pal increased ? At first it was 1270 and now it's 1460 , aren't I supposed to decrease my calories as I lose weight ? I exercise regularly but if I begin to eat 1460 calories a day will I gain weight ? Is this a glitch ? Please help !

Hi grats on the loss so far!
When you updated your weight, did you also change how many lbs you were aiming to lose per week? I'm sure you know as you get closer to goal you reduce your deficit (often to 0.5lb a week). If you did this, that would account for the increased calories.0 -
Hi thank you so much ! And yes I think I did actually . I set it to lose 1.5 lbs a week , will I continue to lose weight if I now eat 1460 ?0

No problem
As long as you are happy that the info you have filled into mfp is right and your target loss per week is what you want it to be mfp will sort the calculation. Now you just need to trust the numbers, measure accurately and I'm sure you will carry on losing as successfully as you have been.
