Welcome! I am currently using Jillian Michaels DVD's Yoga Meltdown, 30 Day shred & Banish fat boost metabolism. LOVE THEM! I just rotate them out and also do my exercise bike! Also I learned this after a few weeks of being here...you have to eat back at least half of the calories you burn each day because otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and starts stock piling cals because your body begins to think your starving it. Also someone told me to zig zag your cals. Like one day eat back half the cals burned and then the next day stick to the cals your allowed before your exercise cals are added in there. Cardio is the best thing to burn fat and strength will get your body lean! Good luck! Add me for support if you would like!

Try to log every single thing that enters your mouth, it's a real eye opener and the more honest you are the better.

I've sent you a friend request too

You can look at my picture and see I have been overweight for quite some time. I used to be athletic in my younger days and I guess got the mentality that I would never gain weight. Boy, that changes in a hurry when you leave high school and stop being active.

I have to say, it has been a real eye opener to count calories. You will absolutely choke when you see the amount of calories you can consume in one day and not even think about it. I am hopefully on the right track now.

As someone else says, count ALL your calories and be honest. Try to get a little exercise routine going even if it's just walking. You can still eat most of the things you want, just in smaller portions. If you want to splurge at a meal if you know you are going out, cut back on your breakfast or lunch and snacks to save up for a dinner out that will definitely be more calories. I have to be honest. It is different. It is a lifestyle change. But, it is not as difficult as you may think it will be. It will get easier as you go along, especially when people start noticing your weight loss and telling you that you are looking much better.

The best advice I can give you is when at all possible, plan in advance. It is much easier to stay within your target calorie range if you know the direction you are headed in for each day. Good luck!
