I agree with the posts below: We breathe all day long in and out. Waterl oss is a better explanation....

More than 7 pounds a week loss via sleep? I can't believe that to be honest?

The body repairs itself when you sleep - this is how calories get burned and fat loss occurs, particularly if one does heavy weight training which results in a number of chemical reactions to repair and rebuild the damaged muscles.

This is why weight training is better for fat loss than cardio

Not too long ago someone posted a YouTube video in it and I think it had something to do with water loss from breathing

Here's something crazy to try: weigh yourself, don't eat or drink anything for 8 hours, and weigh yourself again.

It's almost like you're alive or something.

I weigh myself every night before I go to bed then again in the morning when I get up (before any bathroom visits). I average 1.2 lbs loss on 6 hours sleep. It all comes back during the day.

Interesting ... another related mystery is this---you get up really early in the morning, have nothing to eat or drink, yet some hours later, before eating or drinking anything you weigh yourself again and you weigh more. What happened?
