P90x question

Hi to all those P90xers out there. I am trying to find a workout for my hubby and I to do together and I think this one might work (he's not into the "girly" dvd's). My questions are 1. About how long are the workouts? 2. Do you need equipment like free weights or resistance bands and 3. Do you need a lot of space?
Thanks for your time!!!

The workouts are about an hour and after the weight training you are supposed to do a 20 minute Ab Ripper X. The yoga workout is 90 minutes. You do need free weights and a place to do pull ups. My husband and I do the workouts in our basement.

Plan for about 1 1/2 hours per workout so that you can do the Ab Ripper on the designated days. The videos are about an hour long and then the Yoga is about an hour and a half. The Ab Ripper is about 15 minutes and that is done on alternating days. Plus they encourage you to pause, take breaks when you need it so that you can execute the move properly.

    As far as equipment goes...

You will need an exercise mat for each person doing the video.
A pull up bar (I would suggest two if you guys are doing it at the same time).
A set of free weights. You can pick up a set at Target or a sporting goods store for a relatively low price. The "weight" itself that you use will vary depending on each exercise and differ between you and your husband. I would say anywhere ranging from 2-20 lbs.
You will also need an exercise band with handles (one for you and your husband).
Some workouts require a chair (for tricep dips, etc).
You will need either that same chair or a stool that you can comfortable swing your leg over (for the plyometric video)...

    Hope this helps! Good luck!

You don't have to use a mat unless you're going to workout on hard floors, then it's highly recommended (I don't - I have carpet)
We only use one pullup bar because neither my husband nor I can do enough pullups to take up the whole time so we take turns and pause the DVD if we're not done.
2-20 lbs is good started, but your husband may need more near the end; I am up to 10-15 lbs on some exercises and my husband is looking at higher than 20 lbs
Only need an exercise band if you don't want free weights (alternate ways to do the same exercises)
