Anyone have luck losing weight with walking, either indoor or outside?

    I've lost 24llbs watching what I eat and just walking.I am feeling fitter and healthier.I started on 18th June my daily goal is 12000 steps.Im walking at reasonably good pace (4mph) can't run as my ankle is very weak.Good luck.
