Weight yoyo while sick.

I am sick and losing weight pretty fast. I lost 15ish lbs in the month leading up to Friday by restricting calories and going to the gym. We moved Friday and Friday and Saturday I was too busy to get to the gym or really eat much. Then I got sick, still am. Have lost 5lbs since Friday, 1.5lbs today. Not that I mind losing the weight, but I don't want to lose it that way. And I know when I feel better and can really eat my weight will take a week to straighten back out. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Just water weight more than likely. Of course there is no substitution for a doctor.0 -
If I'm not better by Thursday I'll be hitting up a doctor anyway. I know it will most likely go away on it's only (fever and sore throat) but I am impatient lol.
I am staying hydrated at least. Drinking probably 6 cups of water a day. I am still eating some, just not like I should. No breakfast, lunch, supper, healthy snacks. Today I ate supper (roast beef dinner). I just ate a banana to try to eat SOMETHING. Yesterday was a protini around 1am and a wrap (cucumber, pickle, romaine lettuce, spinach and cheese w/mayo) at 3am. Super bad. Feel like I am starving myself but half the time I have no energy at all.0 -
Take care of yourself by not being so tough on yourself. If you feel like eating, eat. Do not worry about what category the food is in (like "good" or "bad.") Your body will recognize it as the nutrition it needs. Get as much rest as you can so that you can recover.0

You're sick - your body is going to act accordingly.
Concentrate on getting plenty of rest and fueling your body adequately (if you manage food right now). Just let your body naturally heal itself and forget the 'details'. Once you're better, you can get back in to your routine.

Same thing happened to me last week. I had one of those "blah" kind of illnesses....who knows what exactly, an upper respiratory kind of thing. I just did not feel like eating. I made sure to eat something for energy but I got the "You are not eating enough" message from MFP for a few days. lol. Oh well... I lost more than usual, and I'm assuming next week's weigh-in will show a gain back of some of it. But just look at the average over a few weeks and that will be a more realistic number.
