Im from the UK and even after seeing the picture I still dont know what Kolaches are... haha

the picture posted above is not a kolache to me. a kolache where i live is a sausage or ham with cheese inside a breaded exterior.

I would have had a kolache. Why? Because my lifestyle change = balanced diet + moderation + active life. Kolaches fit right in there. Having kolaches on Friday, in fact. Already looked up calorie count and decided which 2 I'll be having for breakfast.

I've never heard of a breakfast taco. Is it like a breakfast burrito but not rolled up?
a breakfast taco & breakfast burrito are interchanging terms here in south texas. they can also be called Taquitos, at Whataburger restaurants.

the sweet treats above, we call danishes.

No one from South Texas who's been as far north as West would call that a kolache.

Danishes are VERY different. So no, you would not call it a danish. At least, not if you've had a real kolache.

Please do note, I like sausage rolls as much as the next person, but they aren't kolache (even when wrapped in kolache dough). I don't know when the term was co-opted, but even cursory research will show you what a kolache is.

    Wikipedia on Kolache.

    It gets easier!

It is hard. You may even slip or go through periods where you fail. Most people do.

But it can be done if you stay strong and really want to do it. And as time goes on, it really, REALLY does get easier.

One day, you'll be wondering why it was so hard. :)
I definitely understand your pain! The moment you decide you are going to do better, eat better and just plain BE BETTER, then u have people that want to offer you this and that! The battle starts in our minds and if we can conqueror our minds then we are on our way!!!!

You have to be disciplined! You can't let your environment or the people around you sway your decision to improve your health and practice good nutrition skills. For me, planning my meals have been beneficial in my success because I'm more prone to make better decisions.

    What is a kaloche?

Signature Czech-American treat. They are so delicious. Here in Nebraska, those of Czech ancestry are usually tall and can handle the extra calories, but those of us smaller and of more western European ancestry can easily over indulge.
