HIIT on the spot?

I'm keen to get into HIIT but was wondering if it could be done running on the spot? I can't see why not as you can exert yourself 20% right upto 80% or whatever you need. Thoughts?

hiit is 170% vo2max. i doubt you can hit that running on the spot. try windsprints instead0

I'm assuming he has a space issue. Otherwise why would anybody want to run in place?0

Have you seen dailyhiit.com? They have a bunch of ideas for HIIT workouts you can do in small spaces.0
