Change in TDEE

I have lost 8#. I rechecked my TDEE and it dropped by 60 calories. I am already @ the lowest calorie setting of 1200. So it didn't change my plan. How often do you check your TDEE? Does MFP make the adjustment when you log your weight loss? I was very surprised that it changed that much with such a small loss.

What rate of loss do you have selected? I suggest changing it to "lose 1 lb" and see what it says.
Yes, TDEE goes down as you lose, but MFP will never tell you to eat less than 1200 per day.0 -
I have it set crazy at 2# per week at sedentary and my TDEE is only 1810. I often go up to 1300 if I'm hungry. I'm having my 2nd hip replacement on October 21. I'm trying my best to get my weight down as much as I can before then. I do weigh 197 and my ideal is 140.
I just wondered if people realize how quickly it can change with even a small loss and adjust their calories to match.
Thanks!0 -
It would be difficult in your case, but my TDEE has gone up as I've lpst weight, simply due to moving a lot more. Unfortunately so has my appetite :-).0
