I love salsa!

I used to eat pasta, hot dogs (Turkey) and salsa for lunch everyday. I don't do that any more. Now I eat baked potatoes with the salsa. My question is, are potatoes a good food to eat with my salsa? Is there something else I could eat, that is healthier? Thanks

    There's certainly nothing wrong with potatoes, but you could probably get more bang for your buck with veggies. Also, I really like putting salsa on scrambled eggs. It depends on what you're aiming for - more fibre, more protein, etc.

    Potato and salsa is great if it fits your calorie goal and satisfies you. I try to work some protein into every meal as well, I find it sticks with me longer.

    As for salsa - I'm totally in love with the Kirkland Organic Salsa from Costco. We have a dearth of decent salsa here in Australia and it's so good, I keep my Costco membership just so we can buy it.

    It's also yummy mixed with cottage cheese, which would also be delicious on a potato (and add protein!)

    I mix salsa with my eggs nearly every day, add it to nonfat Greek yogurt for a low fat and sodium friendly salad dressing, coat chicken in the crock pot with it as a great flavor filled protein Gotta give big thumbs up to Salsa

    Yum! Another one here for salsa and eggs!

    Another thing I like to do is marinate chicken breast in lime juice, grill it and serve with salsa on top, delish!

    I do this too :) Salsa makes a great low cal/high flavor salad dressing
