Newbie and need motivation

Hi Folks, my name is Debs and I have started on here as I want to lose approx 65lbs. I've lost 20lbs on Weightwatchers but got really sick of pointing foods and stressing about going to the meetings.
I'm a total emotional eater and can easily trick myself into feeling I need/deserve lots of food when I feel low/stressed/upset. It's a bit of a struggle do I am hoping doing this and being on here will help.
Looking forward to getting to know people on here, read loads of positive stories and it sounds good if only I can stick to it!

I was a WW member for a few months and lost around 20lbs too and I too got fed up with the whole 'points' thing - I found the meetings a bit cliquey too. MFP has worked really well for me so far and I prefer the simple calorie deficit idea. We don't have to mess around with working out point values for every thing and I find it a lot more straightforward. I hope you find these forum's useful too - I've found a lot of amazing advice here.
