Does it fit within your goals and keep you full long enough? If so, why would it be bad? If not, it's probably a poor idea.0

I tried the recommended serving size of cereal and milk recently and laughed since it was hardly anything. I double up on it and make it fit my goals now.0

Quadruple it if you'd like, and you can still stay within your calorie budget.0

The only problem is it doubles your intake, which you need to make up in the rest of your day. I assume you also doubled your milk?
I find I am fuller longer if I add protein instead of more carbs for breakfast.
P.S. I usually eat my largest meal at breakfast, so that can work out fine. Lunch might be lighter, soup or salad, and my portions at dinner can be quite small.0 -
Thank you was feeling like I over ate doubling it up but one serving (3/4th cup) isn't much and I normally do oatmeal in the morning which fills me up a lot more ..I didn't double my milk just the cereal ( Kelloggs special k fruit & yogurt ) was at 300 calories including the milk0

Yes...most cereal is just sugar. The more you eat, the sicker you will be.

if it fits in your calorie allotment, then no.
i use it more for a snack and eat other things for breakfast.0 -
300 calories for breakfast is still pretty low. My biggest worry is that I'd be hungry again in an hour.0

I'd be hungry again in an hour. What's the carbs : fat : protein ratio?

That seems like you have a nice plan.

a 3/4 cup serving of cereal is bs. but its also for that reason that I try to avoid cereal as much as possible because i will just fill up a big bowl of it and not actually measure anything...and then depending on how hungry I am I may even do it a second time. I've been known to eat an entire box of cereal in 1-2 sittings many times in the past. Not worth it for me.0

Personally, what I would do, Get a greek yogurt that's high protein, low sugar, and in a flavor you like. (I really like the light greek yogurts from walmart, orange creme, banana cream) and use 1/2-3/4 cup cereal as a crunchy topping. It'll be a lot more filling than double the cereal.
300 is not HIGH for breakfast. It's an even distribution if you're at 1200 calories, and low if you're at any higher level. Or I guess high for anyone who skips breakfast!0 -
Depends on your goals. Most breakfast cereals aren't very filling, so even if you eat a bunch, you may get hungry again. If the goal is to be nice and full, maybe pair the cereal with some raspberries, eggs or something instead of doubling up on cereal.
But it's only bad for your diet if you exceed your calorie goals.0 -

Maybe the person meant "snicker". Like if you eat sugar, you'll turn into a snickers bar.
