I have been reading up on the health benefits of garlic and found this article. What do you guys think. Can garlic help you lose weight?

I eat 3g of garlic every day because I love the taste of it in my veggies. In my many years of doing this I haven't lost weight unless I was cutting my calories to do so. I do think it stops me getting colds though.0

I like garlic but I'm not going to eat a couple of whole bulbs a day and stink in the vain hope that I might lose weight0

Noooope. It tastes great, though. Especially with butter. Totally 'danger-zone'.
I don't think anything other than caloric deficit works for weight loss. If certain foods caused weight loss, no one would have a weight problem.

It's a myth. Eat at a calorie deficit and you will lose weight.0 -
There'd be on epic garlic shortage if there was any validity to that claim.0

...and Italy especially would have a much, much lower percentage of overweight people.

That's a sham article that uses 2 certified links to seemingly justify it, even though the links aren't justifying the article claims whatsoever.

Nope, but it tastes awesome, so should be added in as much as possible!0

No. But garlic and beef are a most winning combo. And more garlic with butter makes awesome breadsticks!0

At least it keeps vampires away... right?0

I use garlic for most of my mean courses (lunch and dinner). In order to lose body weight, you have to eat at a deficit. That is all.
Good luck in your healthy journey0 -
Thanks, it was an interesting read though.0

Anything that can prevent the Twilight series from coming near me is OK in my book! XD0 -
Umm, no.
On a related note, Central Market is making a black garlic chocolate cupcake. While they don't go quite so far as to claim magic healing powers for the cupcake, they do go into detail about the 'healing benefits' of long fermented black garlic.
Perhaps OP should look into it.0 -
OP you should be eating at least 50 cloves of garlic daily.

I second the above! Besides garlic tastes great. Love it, eat it every day. If it makes you loose weight, I would not be on here lol
