Hey everyone, I'm Australian and looking for new friends.
Here is my story....
My overweight problem started in June/July 2010, that's when I gave up smoking. I ate myself fat and gained a whopping 15kg, going from a healthy middle range weight to overweight. In March 2011 I joined MFP. Since then I've lost weight then re-gained again many times. This time around I hope it's for good.
I don't always stay under 1200 calories this is because on top of mfp I'm also doing weight watchers, so I'm counting points not so much just calories. I've found I can eat a lot more on the weight watchers program, they don't count fruit for instance. I'm think this will make my weight loss goals more sustainable in the long run. I aim to lose a kg a week.
Thursday is my weigh-in day so on this day after weigh-in I have a binge of whatever want, I count my calories weekly. I try not to be judgemental of others on mfp, there is a lot of self proclaimed experts on here I've found. I cook a lot and use the recipe builder, I'm happy to share any of my recipe's with anyone on request. I try to eat the Australian guidelines of 5 serves of veggies and 2 serves of fruit each day, sometimes I don't make those goals. I think nutrition is really important and I feed my children a diet based on vegetables.
If you think we are compatible please add me!
