barcode scanner widget not showing up

I have a new Note5 and had the barcode scanner on my Note4 within MFP and now it is gone. There appears to be an issue since others are reporting this. This tool was the one reason I loaded the app since this made food logging so simple. Please fix and/or advise. I have granted permission so this is not a permission problem.
