I'm needing help how to make sure that my Calorie Intake is Correct so I can lose weight I would like to lose around 70 pounds by this time next year and I know I can do it and I just need to stick to it everyday and not give up as I seem to keep doing and etc. I'm seriously trying to watch what I eat and how much I eat and trying to drink more water as well and I know I can do it as well just need to keep my mind on it at all times. I've got great support at home as my husband who is a type 2 diabetic also needs to lose weight and we have been portion controlling and that seems to be helping me not wanting to eat a lot. Please feel free to add me as a friend and I will do the same in return.

Hey txfitness1978....sounds like you're all setup, which is great. Excellent news that you have the backing of your husband too. Makes it much easier if everyone in the house is on board.
As for the specifics in your post - why are you concerned that your calorie intake might be incorrect? What makes you fear you are doing it wrongly? Is it something specific or are you really just looking for somebody to look over your diary for a few days to double check it? x0 -
Hey there Schtroumpfkin my sister found out that her's was wrong she has a fitbit and it was under estimating her Calorie intake and she wasn't losing weight until she changed it and now she has lost almost 18 pounds the site has e at 1500 but I changed it to over 2000 calorie's anyway please feel free to add me as a friend0

Your on the right track, and being on here is one of the biggest things you can do as far as staying focus. (Food Diary)
Another thing, look.for foods that are low in calories that you enjoy that you can eat alot of. For example Cabbage and Roast beef is one of my favorites.. can eat 2 cups of cabbage and 4 Oz of roast beef and probably be under 400 calories.
For snack 90 calorie brownie, they are making some good stuff now. So the lower the calories the more you can eat. After a week or so your body will adjust, you won't crave as much food as before.
And try a fitbit if you don't already have one, keeps you honest about your daily activity. Best of luck, : )

Here's a post I did about goal setting (weight, calories, macros):
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/MKEgal/view/2014-06-08-setting-goals-667045
This link from that post is probably what you'll find most helpful right now.
It's a calculator from the Baylor College of Medicine which will tell you not only your BMI (for whatever weight you
put in), but how many calories and servings of the various food groups to eat to maintain that weight, depending
on how active you are. Start with the "inactive" number*, and if you're losing too fast, add 50-100 cal & wait a
couple weeks to see what happens.
If you enter your healthy goal weight, or play with the number until the BMI is in a healthy range, this will help you
plan your food intake.

* Because most people underestimate what they eat, and most machines (including MFP) overestimate
what you've burned. My doctor & dietician both told me to treat exercise as a bonus to losing weight,
don't eat exercise calories.
Here are some helpful MFP threads. Definitely read sexypants.

If you want to accurately monitor your calorie intake a food scale is a must in my opinion. You'll be surprised at how much you overestimate or underestimate the amount food you're actually eating. I prefer a digital scale as it's a bit more accurate and they're pretty inexpensive (paid about £6 for mine, and it still works fine).
Good luck with your goals!0
