A little celebration and a question.

I've been working at this since Christmas. So far I've lost 49 pounds and gone from a size 20 to a loose 12. I figure I have about 30 pounds to go. Even my ring size has changed a lot! My question concerns my calorie allowance. I'm usually about 100 calories below what I'm allowed but occasionally (maybe every 2 weeks) I go over. Is this a problem and, if not, how do I stop feeling guilty?

Awesome weight loss so far!! Guilty is not a good sign, I would say maybe you should make an appointment with your doctor and tell them your feelings. You really should be celebrating how far you've come but when you feel bad about your success it is concerning.0

+1 and lose the guilty feelings over going over your calories every now and again....
In fact you have made it really easy for yourself to incorporate higher calorie meals/treats/days within your diet....this is a great life lesson and one that many people find hard to get their heads around.
You won't be continuing to eat at your current level past your goal weight and then there will be the transition to maintenance....so by having these higher days every so often, you are I am hoping, incorporating foods that may have been off the menu for a while and learning portion control, eating within reasonable limits etc etc.
All great life skills that will see you keep your weight loss success for the rest of your life.
You are doing great. Continued success and all the best.

I like to think of the extra divided by the timeframe - in your case 14 days - and see it as an indulgence that fits into my overall big picture plan. Calories in / Calories out is not a daily balance win or lose situation - it's a long term situation, and you can eat an extra 700 calories one day every two weeks and that's only like having an extra 50kcal/day. As long as that fits in your plan you're good to go. Quite frankly the roundoff and estimation errors you are making likely dwarf that figure - my own logging is off by an average of over 250 kcal/day (always underestimated, too!)
