Some Monday Motivation

hello everyone!
So it looks like it's Monday again... Everyone's favorite day of course. But it does prompt you to compile your game plan for the week! So I weighed in this morning, and was left with mixed feelings of surprise and disappointment. I hadn't weighed myself in minimum 4 months (before committing to my weight loss journey, which started Labor Day this year.) but I'm hoping to just focus harder on logging all meals and pushing myself with exercise :-) Day by day I'm noticing what a great tool and forum that is MFP. I love this app!
Needless to say, what are some of your tips to beat the Monday blues? Also what are some ways to encourage yourself when the scale can be a tough critic?

The scale is probably your best friend because it can't lie to you or baby you along (other friends are great for that though especially if they're falling off their own weight-loss wagon and want company). It's not criticizing you, it's helping you. Giving you one more valuable insight into what's going wrong so that you can start making it right. For me, weekends are full of temptation because I'm home beside my fridge, so monday comes as a bit of a relief (yay for packing a lunch and logging it the night before). However if mondays are difficult just remember that every one means that you've survived one more week and are that much closer to building a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.0

I weigh daily to better help understand how my body works. If I ate great, but got into a little too much sodium, I know I'm likely to have a bit of a gain the next day. So I see it as a tool, rather than the final word. It's how you feel and how your clothes fit that really matters.
As for the Monday blues- I try to out-exercise my weekend food habits. That way, if I did have a bad weekend of eating, I'd at least feel good about the fitness side of things!0
